...On a rare occasion, some even begin to think it's fun. I have tutored one on one in homes and libraries, but the majority of my experience is at schools working with small groups of children. ...I try to adjust my tutoring to the style a given student seems to learn from best. One thing I do try to be consistent about is allowing students to do as much as they can with what they know already, and then providing support or instruction when it is needed. I find this helps students to remember knowledge or skills later on exams or in-class assignments. (read more)
