...The second class dealt more with strategies for whole groups. While taking classes, I worked (under the advisement of a literacy pedagogy professor) with a local homeless child on developing her own set of decoding skills so that she could enter kindergarten this fall. ...I will be glad to work with the classroom teacher to target concepts the student needs to focus on or to work on upcoming topics. I try to break mathematical processes into easy to understand step-by-step lists so the students can practice independently on their own even when they are not with me.
