Scaffolding in small groups and giving students level-appropriate individualized learning activities was a huge contributor to student success. At the age of 19, I served a 2 1/2 year Spanish speaking mission for my church in Central America. Later I served in the military for 20 years as a Latin American Foreign Area Specialist. After retirement I taught Spanish in grades kindergarten through High School over a period of 20 years. (read more)
