Hi I’m Dan and I have been a professional chemist for over 15 years. I hold both a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a minor Mathematics from Cal State University San Bernardino and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Texas A&M where I specialized in organic chemistry. ...That is why my first priority is always getting to know my student, especially their approach to dealing with real and abstract concepts. I try to understand how he/she understands so I can identify the challenges in his/her method of understanding. I don't believe saying the same thing over and over is an effective method of teaching. I graduated from college as valedictorian, with a 4.0 GPA, then earned a PhD in Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My studies provided me a strong training in history, government, math, and writing, and I worked in data science for over five years.
