I have tutored students for over 4 years in many subjects such as college algebra, biology, writing, and general chemistry. I was a staff tutor at my previous university before moving to Philadelphia to start a PhD program in chemistry at USciences. ...I am not a huge fan of using a lecture-based learning style. Ironically, I learn best through a lecture-based class, but all my students prefer a more involved approach. I usually start a session by asking the students what they want to learn or what questions they have. (read more)
