Science is my day job, but I do math for fun. ...I teach phonics to students in Kindergarten - 1st grade as well as helping students struggling with reading. I go over sounds and general rules with students to improve their ability to decode unfamiliar words and has a means to sound out words for writing assignments. This improves students' ability to both hear, and identify sounds and the connection between sounds, spelling and reading. (read more)
