...I share with students visual aids and technologies that make the math make more sense. I have found that often the instruction given in the classroom is simply the mechanics of how to do it since the bigger picture is obvious to the instructor. In calculus especially, the students whom I tutor have a greater understanding when I explain how calculus works in a broad sense. (read more)
