...My strategy is concept married to content, ex: plane geometry goes with square foot gardening, vertical gardening makes it 3D. My method is to pro-actively re-enforce base knowledge, ex: base ten number knowledge leads to fractions, decimals=metrics, integers leads to irrational numbers, leads to exponential numbers, etc. It is practiced and perfected procedures that just make sense.
