...Looking back at that year I see that I was really enthusiastic and well intentioned, but I was unprepared to really help the children learn anything being taught in the class. Today I know that helping students learn requires knowledge of the subject matter. But, it also requires knowledge of yourself and a true heart for the student's progress and success. (read more)
