Fourth grade is where I spent most of my time as an elementary teacher, though I did work with younger and older elementary grades in summer school and in smaller groups. At the age of 19, I served a 2 1/2 year Spanish speaking mission for my church in Central America. Later I served in the military for 20 years as a Latin American Foreign Area Specialist.
