...One of the first things I do when I meet with a student is talk to the individual to pinpoint those areas causing difficulties. For example, I will ask how the student performs on test. During the sessions, I will notice areas to improve, such as does the student have difficulties with performing operations with fractions. (read more)
...Depending on the level of Algebra 2 instruction that a student received, precalc may feel like a logical progression or it may feel like you have just landed on the moon. The key is to tie the topic back to the basics, and to move it forward using its connections to real world problems. I have always been fascinated by the stars. (read more)
