For example, he can show you the mechanical method for extracting a square root, but you will need to learn how that method depends on the square of a binomial. Paul can teach you "how to" do the math, but he will insist that you learn why the "how to" works. (read more)
...I work to keep in close contact with the student and their parents to help them learn in the ways that suit them best. I respond quickly and am easy to reach through the Wyzant messing portal. I do require at least a two hour notice of a student's cancellation, and if needed, will give at least 12 hours notice if I have to cancel an appointment, as I want to respect everyone's time.
