...It is no wonder, then, that writing can be a difficult and painful skill to learn. When we are criticized for our writing, it is perceived as an attack on who we are, unlike math, history or science, where if you make a mistake you are just getting your facts wrong. In writing, each red mark can be a painful experience. (read more)
