I was the graduate TA for a double-sized (90 students) section of English 301, a gateway course including literature, rhetoric, and exploration of several genres. ...Mainly the school taught by rote (repetition). Personally, I believe that repetition has its place in teaching, but to teach exclusively by rote is not effective. I believe that interaction and conversation is the best way to practice and engrain the knowledge learned for future use. Children learn very well through language games. (read more)
