...Most of my tutoring has involved helping fellow students, especially when an assignment confused them. I pride myself on being able to take complex themes and break them down in to easily digestible anecdotes. I have 5 younger cousins and a brother with a mental disability so I understand how anyone can struggle in school. Everyone has their advantages and disadvantages and it just so happens that my advantages pertain in the English category. I am studying journalism in college so my knowledge on grammar, reading, writing, etc is only expanding. (read more)
...A strong grasp of writing conventions, including grammar, spelling, and syntax is also required. A good vocabulary is a must for the successful student as well, and there are a number of ways to build this. Students must be willing to apply themselves and teachers must know a variety of methods to be able to reach each student on his or her level. (read more)
