...Then I would ask them to look it up and keep a personal dictionary as a reference. Having taught grammar in 3rd-5th grades, I am particularly interested in the correct usage of the apostrophe! Plurals do not need an apostrophe, but showing possession does (oranges…none; bird's egg …yes). Grammar can be complicated, but with a few rules, your child can be stronger in this area. (read more)
