...As a tutor, I have worked with students to improve performance on standardized testing exams such as the ISEE, ACT and SAT and also worked with college students on Varsity Tutors. I tutor a variety of subjects from AP world history, AP biology, to algebra and geometry. My highest composite ACT score was 29, placing me within the 91st percentile of all test takers. (read more)
...For SAT math, I can easily score 800 in half of the required time, while doing everything in my head. But that's not the most important thing. The point is that I know all the "tricks" and "traps" of SAT math, and can clearly communicate with students the best approach to different types of problems. (read more)
I earned my undergraduate degree from California State University, Los Angeles, where I received a B.A. in Pure Mathematics with a specialization in teaching. Additionally, I hold an M.A. in Math Education from Aurora University.
