...I have focused in on subjects such as reading comprehension, essay writing, and much more. I lead English tutoring sessions with guided lessons based off the new information the student needs to learn, along with practice problems and reading exercises to help them strengthen their skills. ...A perennial favorite game for two of my students is one in which I write a word on a whiteboard, and the students then select colors of Skittles which correspond to the word's (sometimes multiple) type(s) of speech, and justify their choice. Should they do so correctly, they get to eat the Skittles. They have gotten AMAZINGLY good at parts of speech. (read more)

...I studied Discrete Mathematics in College when I took Discrete Math I-II in preparation for graduate school. I'm finding computer science majors are required to take this course. Usually mathematical induction is the topic which leaves the student baffled and eager to seek a support. (read more)
