...The first step I take in helping students become better readers is to connect with them as individuals and use materials that peak their interest. I began teaching as a substitute in 2002 in the Burlington area. I then expanded mt territory to five other districts. Eventually, I concentrated on working through the Guidance department at Waterford Union High school dealing with students that had medical issues or were struggling with certain subjects.
