...My focus during math lessons is on student understanding of the key concepts/ideas, and on pushing students to use the key ideas to solve problems. I do this by identifying student weaknesses and filling in any gaps in their understanding. Then I give the student an opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned with a new but related problem. (read more)
