...Many of the students that I've worked with have learned to enjoy math as they have gained an understanding of it. On a rare occasion, some even begin to think it's fun. I have tutored one on one in homes and libraries, but the majority of my experience is at schools working with small groups of children. (read more)

...One thing I do try to be consistent about is allowing students to do as much as they can with what they know already, and then providing support or instruction when it is needed. I find this helps students to remember knowledge or skills later on exams or in-class assignments. I am very person focused. (read more)
