...I became interested dramatic literature, so I decided to read English translations of the surviving Greek tragedies. I enjoyed them so much that I thought it would be better to study them in their original language. So when I enrolled in Bard College, I decided to major in Classics (also known as Greek and Roman studies). For my Senior Project I translated and directed Sophocles' Antigone. (read more)

Before StreetEasy I worked at CondeNast, Hearst, and TheKnot.com heading up their marketing. After graduating from Emory University, twenty five years ago, with a degree in English (concentration in the works of Shakespeare) I taught elementary school language arts for two years. (read more)
