...My work as a volunteer brought me to a whole different age range of students. Write Stuff is a writing initiative with which we bring students from surrounding middle and elementary schools to campus and set them up with mentors who guide them through writing prompts. My own mentee, Tommy, will be returning for a third semester after having a poem we had work-shopped, published in a paper. (read more)
...While I did not go on to major in English in college, I loved applying my reading comprehension and writing skills to my many other courses and papers. I still love to read and write and love to help people with their reading and writing as well! I received an 800 on the writing section of the SAT, and a 36 in both the English and Reading sections of the ACT. (read more)
