...Many issues come from stress when it comes to time management. Every two minutes or so, I interrupt the student's reading and say, "That's two minutes, just breathe." By saying the same thing, it creates a trigger word that decreases stress. ...Following my certification, I started working as a teacher, summer school teacher, and substitute teacher in various public and private schools. Some of those schools were Title 1 schools, which support students from low-income families and students with special needs. I have also worked as a reading resource teacher with students in IEPs and those with learning disabilities. (read more)
I love teaching English to students of all ages. I was a volunteer ESL tutor with Waubonsee Community College.
