After I graduated from a teaching university with an undergraduate degree in geography, I went into graduate school to study geology in 1999. My master's thesis is focused on fluvial geomorphology responses to active tectonics, eg. earthquakes. I obtained my Ph.D in geology focusing on Sedimentology and Stratigraphy of the Gulf Coast.
