In my youth I read mostly the classics and tended to read material written only by highly rated authors, and when I did otherwise, in other words choosing something to read randomly, I was very surprised at the quality of writing. My teaching experience is primarily from internships shadowing middle school teachers but I'm always happy to teach Language Arts regardless of age.
