After graduating I taught at a group home for neglected and delinquent youth for almost 3 years. ...When I was in high school my mother, who had polio when she was 13, went to college to receive 2 degrees as well. The commute for both of them was about 40 minutes one way. Seeing the sacrifices they both made to get their degrees made a lifelong impact on me. (read more)
