I taught high school English for ten years, in a variety of communities and, most recently, middle school language arts for the last two years. I love to teach students reading and writing. In my teaching experiences, I have found that reading is taught more frequently and consistently than writing, so I always focused on that aspect of language arts teaching in my classroom.
