I received my PhD from Harvard in African and African American Studies. I began my teaching career in the NYCDOE in the Bronx in 2004, and I taught there until I entered graduate school in 2007. While in graduate school, I had the pleasure of teaching 7th and 8th grade for four years at The Bement School, an independent school in Deerfield, MA. (read more)
