...Breaking down the curriculum and working on each topic for 2-3 meetings boosted their students' understanding. I have learned more accessible tactics in learning content, likewise "hints" or strategies that can help solve a problem or understand a concept or definition. Via my school-age son, I have recently gained a lot of experience in some wonderful interactive math-teaching software and websites, such as Desmos, Geogebra and Mathigon. I don't think that schools have started using these much yet, but they have great potential for helping a tutor to make math more tangible, interactive and engaging. (read more)
