...From then on I'd spend my free/spare hours sitting in the math department office tutoring anyone that wanted to come in. Looking back and recalling the times students would come in just to say "thanks for raising my grade" or "it all makes so much sense now" really warms me. ...At the time this largely consisted of students between the ages of 8-11. Upon entering college, I have served as a teaching assistant for college algebra courses as well as a tutor for calculus and linear algebra through Pitt's math department.
