...So, I decided to try K -12 education to see what was happening to turn so many students off to math. In the K-12 system, holding a Grades 7 – 12 certification, I found the answer. ...First, I start with very basic problems which are straightforward examples I use to clarify the subject. Then I ask an upper-level question to challenge them and let them work on it. If they can not figure out the solution, in the final stage I give hints to approach the problem and work together to the completion. (read more)
