...I visited Rome and toured many of the sights, not the least of which was the place where the Roman government met, toured the Vatican, and saw the sights first hand. I can't say Rome left the impression Greece did but maybe that's because I saw the tourist things and in Greece I made my own tour. I don't so much teach history as I do have a conversation about it.
