I am a graduate of Cal State University Long Beach with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies. My love for working with students began as an instructional aide in an elementary school special education classroom. ...I have worked for the school district as an 8th grade math tutor for the "Gear Up" program, including Elementary Math. I believe anyone can learn to enjoy math. There is always a right answer, so once you understand how it works, it becomes like a game. (read more)
...I thrive off of helping students have those "aha" moments, and seeing them begin to enjoy learning. During college I gained 3 years of experience tutoring elementary aged students in math, reading, and spelling. ...I competed in the Freedom Festival Speech Competition, which is a state-wide speech competition for high school students. I was a finalist all four times I competed. In 2018, I placed first and was the featured speaker at a 3,000+ attendee event. (read more)
