...As part of both my philosophy and engineering education, I have a strong background in Discrete Math. A significant focus of Operations Research is discrete optimization -- optimizing problems that cannot have fractional answers, such as plane tickets or hiring decisions. ...I have been doing competition math since 3rd grade and have personal experience with all major math competitions including the AMC series, the AIME, and the Harvard-MIT Math Tournament. Furthermore, my students have improved tremendously from my tutoring. In particular, previous students of mine have gained over 10 points, resulting in scores of 20+, on the AMC 8 after tutoring.
