...I love the art of wordcraft and understanding and molding the English language to accomplish a goal, either in essay writing or creative writing. After graduation I worked as a Veterinary Assistant, but after relocating across the U.S. I mostly used my biology degree to create biological specimens in the form of my four fantastic children. ...Logic was a part of the graduate geometry class I taught and the remedial graduate math class I helped design. I was even helping a home-schooled high school student with logic problems just this past week. I really enjoy teaching logic because it is a NEW set of symbols and many students look at them with no pre-conceived notions, no baggage like many people have with subjects like algebra. (read more)
...I encourage each student to take responsibility for his/her learning and help me determine areas in which I can help. I try to break down a problem to make it easier to understand while asking for my student’s input in the solution. I want a student to tell me how to solve a problem rather than me tell the student.
