...Students need to see multiple methods (i.e. graphically, algebraically, numerically, etc.) on how to answer a math problem. Math (and business) problems have both a mechanical piece and a theoretical piece to them that must be identified and understood. Students do improve under my tutoring methods. (read more)

I check the student's core math skills and understanding of basic definitions (variable, exponent, quadratic, etc.) with multiple illustrations and examples. I discourage overreliance on calculators because there are tests where calculators aren't permitted. (read more)
