...Through teaching all ages, from pre-K through 12th, I have found that, like me, many students struggle with traditional approaches to learning. In China, long term memorization (recitation) is highly emphasized, and, in the United States, short term memorization (test preparation) is highly emphasized. I greatly prefer a blended approach that does not solely focus on reciting or testing. (read more)
