I know how important it is to achieve success on tests and in grades, but for me real learning is so much more than just a passing score or a report card. I am used to the different techniques used when teaching children of multiple ages and have no issue whether they be three years old or ten. I plan to attend grad school for literacy with the recent push for reading in New York State and nationally it is important to focus upon reading. From my student teaching experience, I have noticed that the problem with the reading of history and other subjects is a lack of comprehension skills in order to retain information. (read more)
