...Discrete math is a broad term for the study of mathematical objects that are discrete (i.e. separate or countable) by nature. Examples include integers, graphs, sets, and sequences. I took a series of classes at Caltech in discrete math, which were some of the best classes I had there because they covered such a range of topics, including logic, combinatorics, and number theory.
