...I explain the methods to the student and show examples of calculations, then I ask the student to explain the subject in their own words as if they were teaching it to me. ...I have taught / tutored continuously pre-calculus / trigonometry, including a workshop over a summer. Successfully had students receive good grades in this subject, as well given them confidence to explain their math to the entire class at the board.
