...Tim was very helpful the entire semester, he was completely understanding when we did not understand some stuff and was always there to explain further. ...Memorizing formulas has its place, but the act becomes easier when you dive into how and why they work. Math and physics are two subjects in which each new topic builds on lessons learned from those before it. When a student encounters difficulty, I find it useful to take one step back and remind them of what they already know. (read more)
...I was homeschooled from 1st grade through high school, so I know that self discipline is important for learning. When I received my Associate's degree from South Suburban College I received an award for Outstanding Mathematics. While at South Suburban College, I tutored Math and Chemistry for 3 years and was hired as a Teacher’s Assistant for a high school class over the Summer. (read more)
