I have been tutoring math for the last 13 years, working with a wide range of students from late elementary to early college levels. I am particularly skilled at finding creative ways to help explain concepts so that students can best connect with the material. I used applied linear algebra in my programming courses, and even included some of the material while teaching differential equations at the University of Tennessee. ...My favorite part of helping students is seeing their faces when they truly understand something that uses to be confusing to them. They light up! I will start my lessons with an engaging conversation, question, or task that relates to them, whether it will be beneficial for them later in life or it relates to their life right now. (read more)
