...Common Core lists out a set of expectations for students, but instead of just memorizing the concepts, it asks students to explain the "why" behind their answer. This is exactly my methodology when tutoring! I have the students explain their thought process and their steps back to me so that I can ensure proper understanding of the subject. (read more)
