...Sometimes, trying to make a student learn all the phonics becomes the problem, not the solution. I individualize each and every lesson I teach to the specific ways that student learns best. Splitting up words/underlining/breaking words into parts (which I can do using Zoom technology while online) helps students to understand the phonics better and helps them become more fluent readers.
