...I was awarded the Outstanding Student in Mathematics, and was the Math Tutor of the Year and the Learning Center Tutor of the Year two years in a row. During my time in the lab, my student tutoring satisfaction score was a 4.98. ...I try to make learning these things fun (and I do believe they can be fun!). Believe it or not, there are very deep properties of arithmetic that are never explored by kids, let alone by professional mathematicians! I have been playing guitar (acoustic and electric) and singing for many years. My grandfather taught me when I was 16, and a few years later I played small shows around DFW. (read more)
...Some of my students have achieved perfect scores on the math portion of the SAT exam. One of them won first prize in collegiate level math competitions. They went on to some of the best colleges such as Stanford University, Rice University, University of Texas at Austin, etc. (read more)
