...I prefer when the student has some sort of workbook or guide that they would like to cover, but this is not required. Based upon the subject matter, we can develop a program that can meet on a regular basis (weekly, etc.) or in "chunks" to cover specific parts of the subject. ...My approach to teaching test-taking skills includes far more than subject area instruction. I teach my students strategies that enable them to quickly recognize and eliminate wrong answers that are deliberately designed to trick test-takers into selecting them.
