I believe that when math makes sense, students can finally understand it. They need strategies, multiple techniques and an organized approach. I have a Masters degree in general education, however, I have been passionate about math and have helped students "make sense" of middle school and high school math courses for over 10 years. ...Despite over ten years of experience tutoring, I've always kept tutoring as a part-time thing with a limited number of students. I prefer it this way so I can get to know my pupils better. In addition, this arrangement means that I usually have enough free time to be flexible in case the student needs an extra session for a test or midterms, or has to reschedule because of conflicts.
