...I believe approaching the problem first and allowing the student to attempt it before intervening and leading them to discover the answer using logic. I also have study plans for exams that prevent a burnout or need to cram the night before. Most of all, I believe every student needs encouragement when struggling with a subject as I used to feel ashamed when I didn't know an answer. (read more)

At the University of Michigan I was an Honors student who majored in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, which required a great deal of writing. I have been teaching piano since 2017 and have been playing piano for 14 years. While I have been classically trained in piano, my expertise is in being able to learn songs really quickly by ear and then teach students these songs either through sheet music or by ear.
