...I ran a STEM tutoring club in my high school to help younger students with algebra and geometry. At that time I was also hired by some families in my community to tutor their middle schoolers 1-on-1. I entered college as a mechanical engineering major, but eventually switched to mathematics as it was my calculus classes that interested me the most. (read more)
...I helped a student who had failed two quizzes early in the semester and had lost confidence, to master the material and do very well on his quizzes and exams, and get an A in his course. I also met another student near the end of his semester who had solid D in his class and was hoping for a C to pass. I helped him out and he did so well on his final exam that he got a B as his final grade. (read more)
